Homeopathic Medicine Pt.8
Dr. Robin Falkov is licensed acupuncture physician with extensive training in traditional Chinese herbal medicine. She is a Diplomate of the National Board of Homeopathic Examiners and has worked with Homeopathy for over 20 years. She has had one of the earliest wholesale accounts with the well known, pioneering Life Extension Foundation in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and has worked with nutritional supplements for over 25 years. She currently resides in New Mexico and consults with patients by telephone and the Internet.
Falkov presented a Health Freedom Panel in which she was joined by three experts in alternative healthcare. Falkov expressed concern, which was echoed by the panelists, that pending FDA legislation could dramatically restrict consumers' access to alternative treatments and choices. She also voiced opposition to a possible North American Union as well as Universal Health Care plans, which could reduce health care options under a centralized bureaucracy. Her website, healthfreedomrights.com, offers ways for people to have their viewpoints be heard. You can also write to the FDA at the address below.
Burton Goldberg has spent over 30 years carefully researching every aspect of holistic medicine. What put Goldberg on the fast track to national prominence was the 1994 publication of his now best-selling Alternative Medicine: The Definitive Guide. Burton Goldberg is on a mission to reform conventional medicine and to help people reclaim their health. He has a mission to reform American medicine and to help Americans reclaim their health. He wants people to know that with alternative medicine, every disease is reversible. In trauma and emergency situations, mainstream medicine can work wonders. But in the vast majority of health conditions, alternative medicine has the treatments that can help.
Richard Clement has practiced Medicine around the world for the past 25 years. He is an active member of the HPCUS (Regulation of Homeopathy in the USA) and of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. He has been consulting at the National Institute of Health on Complementary and Alternative Medicine. He was the Medical Director of Heel USA 1996-2000 and he formulated the Flu Plus®, Body Pure® and the BHI Cough Syrup. He also co-developed the line of Homeopathy for Arkopharma.
An active lecturer, writer and teacher of Homeopathy, Dr. Clement he has a part time practice in Paris (France) and is the Medical Director of the Spa at the Hacienda San Gabriel de Las Palmas in Mexico. Dr. Clement teaches Homeopathy and Pharmacology at the ATOM school in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and formulates new homeopathic combination remedies for the Homeopathic industry in the USA. He has developed several nutrition supplements (Arthroclem, Hepatika V 5, MintyGreens®, PranaGreens®, Pro Colos®) under the label Richard Clement Nutrition.
Dr. Richard Clement spoke about the effectiveness of homeopathic treatments for individual imbalances. Author Burton Goldberg noted that homeopathy has become the #1 form of treatment in India, because it's both inexpensive and effective. He also discussed the case of Dr. James Forsythe, who was indicted on charges of smuggling Human Growth Hormone. Forsythe was singled out because he was offering alternative treatments for cancer that authorities wanted to rein in, said Goldberg.
Journalist Peter Barry Chowka believes that the politics of health care are vital, and he warned that the FDA could curtail freedom of choice, such that alternative treatments will gradually become more difficult or expensive to acquire. Falkov also touched on her work with light emitting diode therapy. A diode generator can be used at home and is helpful for injuries and soreness– it enhances cellular function and increases blood flow, she reported.

Natural Medicine Leads to Real Cures
In contrast, the philosophy of natural medicine holds that a weakened immune system (and/or along with other weakened bodily systems) is the reason foreign invaders can thrive, producing symptoms and diseases.
Most of us are taught that we need to go to medical doctors when we get sick. What we aren't taught is that the real doctor is already within us as the innate wisdom of the body. This is the difference between conventional allopathic systems and natural holistic medicine systems. The philosophy of natural medicine is that, given the right conditions, the body will heal itself. Whereas the allopathic model tries to control defective body systems through drug intervention, or kill foreign invaders with antibiotics, natural medicine rarely includes toxic agents. Instead, herbs, homeopathic remedies and other non-invasive therapies are used. These techniques harmoniously help facilitate the repair and strengthening of bodily systems (especially the immune system, which can then properly fight foreign invaders), or help to destroy offending pathogens without toxic side effects. The goal of natural medicine is to figure out why systems have weakened and then repair them, which results in healing.
Allopathic Medicine—Symptom/Disease Management
The allopathic medical philosophy taught at most medical schools, and practiced by the majority of medical doctors, relies on the concept of identifying diseases or symptoms, and then prescribing drugs to manage or combat those conditions. It is a system that considers the disease or symptom to be the actual problem, as opposed to addressing the underlying causes that produced the disease or symptom in the first place. A wide variety of tests, procedures and equipment specially designed to identify diseases and symptoms have been developed, which on one level is great, because these tests could be used to help figure out underlying causes. Yet, on another level they are very limiting, since they are rarely used for such purposes. Typically, once a diagnosis is determined, the tests are plunked into the patient's file as conclusive evidence of his or her condition.
